2 DAY 1 NIGHT SAFARI TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK AND IGONGO CULTURAL MUSEUM.

This park is 370km2 in size. It has varied landscapes and even s short drive is alive with interest and colour. Gallery forest, open savannah, acacia woodland and rock kopjes are some of the landscapes you will see. The wildlife you can expect to see includes Impala, Burchell’s Zebra and elands.

ITINERARY:

DAY 1: Journey to Lake Mburo National Park.

After breakfast begin your 3 and a half hour journey heading West to Lake Mburo National Park in Mbarara district. As you

 

enter the park, begin your game drive. After the drive through the park, check in at your choice of accommodation and have lunch.

In the afternoon take a boat ride on the lake and have a view of some of the animals like the crocodiles and hippos. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Lake Mburo National Park to Igongo Cultural Museum and then Kampala

After breakfast, go for another game drive in the park as you exit and head towards the Igongo Cultural centre in Mbarara. Igongo Cultural Centre, one of Uganda's newest tourism attractions. It promotes the natural and cultural heritage of South Western Uganda. Have a an early lunch and then proceed to Kampala with a stop at the equator.
